Easy quarantine cookies will help pass the time

Keeping your spirits up can be hard during these difficult times. A way that I have kept busy is baking. Baking has given me something to do, while also having fun. I have made several types of cookies, but my favorite has definitely been the easy chocolate chip peanut butter cookies.

I was on Snapchat with nothing to do when I happened upon a cookie recipe. The description said that they were super easy and very delicious. I was bored and wanted to try them, so I went downstairs with the intention of making these cookies.

When the recipe said that it was very easy, I did not expect how easy it was going to be. The recipe only had five ingredients. Brown sugar, peanut butter, chocolate chip cookies, baking soda and one egg. I followed the recipe, first putting one cup of peanut butter and one cup of brown sugar in a large bowl. Then add one teaspoon of baking soda, one egg, and half a cup of chocolate chips to the same bowl. Mix the ingredients together.

One batch of dough should make 12-16 cookies. The oven needs to be preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and the dough should be separated into 12-16 equal cookie dough balls on a pan. Leave them in for about eight minutes and you will have delicious cookies ready to eat.

When I first tried one of the cookies after they had cooled, I was surprised at how well they had turned out. The peanut butter and the chocolate chips were a great combination and mixed really well together. They were not overly sweet, and they were sort of crumbly and really smooth.

After my brother tried one of the cookies, he said it was the best cookie he had ever eaten. My parents also enjoyed them very much.  They are definitely worth your time, and they taste amazingly. Out of five stars, I would give these cookies five stars. I have made them several more times after discovering the recipe. If you are looking for something to do while stuck inside, I suggest that you make these cookies. Have fun baking!
