Each year, select senior athletes are given the opportunity to continue their athletic careers beyond high school. After 4+ years of hard work and dedication to their sports, their success is recognized through the college recruitment process.
Athletic recruiters from colleges and universities all over the country have kept their eyes on athletes from every team. However, seniors Devyn Davis, Graham Walsh, Ashton Reiser, Logan Melvin, Luke Nelson, Mary Grant, Jayla McClinton, Norah Murtha, Bella Castillo, and Brady Beaver have excelled on and off the field. These students have signed letters of intent to play at the collegiate level and awarded scholarships (see infographic below).
“Im really excited to get the opportunity to play at the collegiate level,” Melvin said. “Its a dream I’ve had since I came to high school.”
Not only are athletic students rewarded for their abilities off the field, they are also recognized for their academic achievements.
“Getting to this point took a combination of athletic and academic time,” Beaver said.
According to ncaasports.org … The recruiting process takes years of consistency and dedication to the sport. Students have to proactively build their recruiting profiles. This includes doing their best at each and every game, tournament, and season to highlight their abilities. While also balancing school to highlight their academic achievements. The following students have officially committed to their sport and look forward to pursuing their athletic careers.
These athletes, including McClinton, agree that committing to college for athletic scholarships is a good opportunity. To some it will help with their goals to play beyond the collegiate level, but others said that this opportunity will help them pay for their college.
