Coming off a win, junior Ella Aquino stretches with the cross country team. Aquino is the fastest runner of the girls squad. “My favorite memory this season so far was surprisingly Rimrock, it was longer than expected,” Aquino said. “There were a lot of delays due to the weather, but we got to spend a lot of time as a team going back and forth on the bus when there was lightning.”

Taking the lead, senior Francis Cressey takes on the part as the main character in “The Man Who Came To Dinner.” The play is a comedy by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart that takes the audience through a fun-filled story. “It was kind of surreal because I still don’t think it’s hit me yet that I am a senior,” Cressey said. “I love how close everyone is with each other and just how connected it all feels.”

Dribbling the ball, junior Kirston Verhulst looks to make a pass at the first home basketball game versus Liberty North. Verhulst was a member of the 2022 state championship team. The team is working towards returning to Salina this year for the state championship.

Serving the community, freshman Samantha Mohlman enjoys her first Don Bosco wrapping party. Students took part in wrapping presents and putting them under the Christmas trees for their herds. “It makes me feel very good knowing that I can help people in need,” Mohlman said. “I am very grateful that I am in a position where I can help people and make a few peoples Christmas a little better this year.”
