Postseason Fever: Fall sports wrap up seasons against 4A competition

Seniors Austen Lopez and Julius Lopez have won three state championships in a row together. Tonight, their quest for a fourth begins with a first-round matchup against Louisburg.

Postseason play is in full swing for several fall sports. Here are the upcoming dates, times and opponents for the four fall sports still playing.

Boys Soccer: Regional Final vs. Eudora. 10/26, 6 p.m. at Bishop Miege High School.

Football: Regional Semi-Final vs. St. James. 10/27, 7 p.m. at Bishop Miege High School

Volleyball: KSHSAA 4A State Championships, pool play (pool A). 10/27, 4:30 p.m. vs Clearwater, 5:30 p.m. vs Eudora and 7:30 p.m. vs Andale at Hutchinson Sports Arena. Must place top two in pool A to advance to Semi-Finals.

Cross Country: State qualifiers Griffin Bloemker (9) and Carson Lemon (11) race in KSHSAA 4A State Championship race at 10:00 A.M. on 10/28. State qualifier Ella Aquino (11) races in the State Championship race at 11:45 A.M. Both races at Wamego Country Club.

Girls tennis and Girls golf are both complete. Girls tennis finished third at state, and Ashley Myers (10) represented golf with a 9th place finish at state.

*Postseason events will vary in cost, but will all have a price of admission.
