Homecoming Pep Rally

During the announcement of the Homecoming Court, seniors Ella Martin and Carson Key are recognized on the field. Key would later be crowned Homecoming King.

As members of the Homecoming Court, seniors Caroline Gyllenborg and Daniel Fontaine walk through the field in front of the school.

Emerging from the dump tank, English teacher Jessica Switzer stands covered in a pumpkin mixture. Switzer was the only participant who chose not to wear a helmet.

During the assembly, director of student advancement Jon Holmes thanks the Miege community for their school spirit and support.

After the cheer team, the dance team performs their routine. The song they danced to was “Rain On Me” by Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga.

Competing in tug of war, members of the Perrini Herd face off against the Sister Millie Herd. Perrini would later go on to win the game and earn points for their herd.

Moments after the dump tank was opened, math teacher Kat Kennedy stands covered in pumpkin. Kennedy is one of the three new teachers at Miege.

The cheer squad leads the school in showing some spirit. The cheerleaders wore pink shirts to commemorate breast cancer month and the Homecoming weekend.

Participating in the pumpkin race, sophomore Stephen Neenan and freshman Keelan Smith prepare to race. The pumpkins used in the competition were covered in baby oil to add an extra challenge.

As they walk down the field, seniors Payton Verhulst and Evan Parra are recognized. Verhulst would later be crowned Homecoming Queen.

Joining the other members of the Court, seniors Merrin O’Conner and Jack Kincaid walk down the field.

Kicking off the pep assembly, Father Anthony Mersmann leads the school in a prayer. A new face at Miege, this is Father Mersmann’s first all-school assembly.

Before the assembly, members of the drum line set the mood as students file into the bleachers. The members are led by drum line director Austin Barnes.
